UNITY WEEK

A week-long celebration of Black culture, collaboration, and excellence.

Unity Week is a cross-campus initiative powered by UBCA and the Black Presidents Leadership Council. It brings together Black student organizations, alumni, faculty, and the greater Austin community to spotlight the strength of our network through programming, performances, service, and connection.

Each participating org selects a track (Creative, Cultural, Professional, or Social) and leads an event or activation that reflects their mission and moves the community forward.

UBCA Fundrasing event

There is an important update regarding the Gala previously scheduled for February 2026. After thoughtful consideration, UBCA has decided to shift the Unity Gala to February 2027 to ensure the event reflects the full vision, impact, and community investment we intend it to have.

In place of the Gala this year, UBCA will host the The First Toast: A Fundraising Preview of the 2027 Unity Gala on February 27 2026. This event serves as a donor and community preview of the 2027 Unity Gala, designed to build early investment, gather input, and identify champions committed to the long-term success of Black students at UT Austin. Bringing together key stakeholders, this event will honor Black excellence on the Forty Acres while uplifting the voices and experience of Black students. Situated within a broader moment that calls for reflection, collaboration, and action, the evening is envisioned as both a celebration and a strategy space by creating room for dialogue around long-term impact, resource-building, and community partnership. Through this event, UBCA aims to align collective efforts toward a more supportive, equitable, and sustainable future ahead of the inaugural Unity Gala in 2027

Partnership OppOrtunities

  • Contribution $2,000+

    Support UBCA's operations at the highest level.

    Your impact can cover:

    • Full-scale catering for a signature event like Black
      Inauguration or the Unity Gala

    • A $1,000 named scholarship awarded to a student leader

    • Speaker honorariums, A/V equipment, or graduation stoles for Black Graduation

    • Full funding of an umbrella student organization's annual programming needs

  • Contribution $1,000


    Support UBCA's operations in a big way.

    Your impact can cover:

    • Branded merchandise, banners, and decor for large-scale programs

    • Supplies and workshop materials for leadership trainings

    • Guest speaker fees for a panel or town hall

    • Small grants for student organizations to host educational, cultural, or advocacy events

  • Contribution $500

    Support the essentials that keep UBCA running.

    Your impact can cover:

    • PO Box and storage fees used by 50+ Black orgs

    • Domain and website costs that power texasubca.org

    • Shared resources like signage, clipboards, crates, and check-in materials

    • Operational items for internal meetings, outreach, or printing
